Specialized Barefoot Massage in Plano, Texas
If persistent tension, stiffness, restricted movement, or pain is affecting how you feel and move, barefoot massage offers a different approach to therapeutic bodywork.
At The Heeling Hut Barefoot Massage, highly trained feet apply broad, sustained pressure while working with patterns of tension and restriction throughout your body. Your feedback and movement help guide the work during each session.
This is therapeutic barefoot massage, not conventional spa massage.

What makes barefoot massage different?
Barefoot massage isn't simply a regular massage performed with feet instead of hands.
The broad surface of the foot lets your LMT apply sustained, even pressure across larger areas of your body while maintaining control of depth, pace, direction, and pressure throughout the session. This makes it possible to work broadly through muscular and connective tissue patterns without relying on sharp, pinpoint pressure.
The result is a different kind of massage experience: deep and broad without being sharp, with attention to how different areas of your body relate to one another through the myofascial web.

Your session is collaborative
Your session isn't something that simply happens to you.
You may be asked to change positions, make a small movement, adjust your breathing, or notice what you're feeling in a particular area. Your feedback helps me adjust the pressure, technique, and movement throughout the session. This helps us find the right balance of pressure and movement for you.
This approach draws from myofascial bodywork, movement principles, and modern pain science. The goal isn't to push through discomfort or teach you to tolerate more pressure. It's to help you become more aware of what you're experiencing and give your body new information about pressure, movement, and sensation.
The goal isn't simply to work on your body. It's to help you experience your body differently.

A whole-body approach to bodywork
Your body doesn't always organize tension in neat, isolated places. A stiff neck may be connected to how you move through your shoulders and upper back. A recurring hip issue may involve patterns elsewhere.
That's why I don't approach a session as a checklist of muscles to work through. We look at how you move, where you hold tension, what feels restricted, and how different areas relate to one another.
Our work is informed by anatomy, myofascial principles, movement, and modern pain science, but the goal is straightforward: to find useful changes in pressure, movement, and awareness that help you live more comfortably in your body.

Experience Matters
Hillary Arrieta, LMT, has practiced massage therapy since 2004 and has devoted much of her career to barefoot massage and therapeutic bodywork. Informed by modern pain science
Massage therapy doesn't have to be about fixing or forcing tissue to change. Your experience of pain or uncomfortable sensation depends on much more than what's happening in a single muscle or joint.
Our barefoot massage approach accounts for that complexity.
